(Author's Note: So far every option leads into a completely different story line. Eventually, I intend to include a thread that starts after the game and during the children's time. Your gender is not specified at any point in this story. As such, I plan to make it so you can end up with just about any character, depending on if you make the right decisions or not (This story has romance, but it is not the main focus. It will take a long time to get with anyone). This is NOT complete. While each thread has its own story, the plot is only vaguely outlined. If you want something added, let me know and I'll consider it. If you want a thread expanded/an option added, tell me and I'll make that a priority. Some chapters will be longer than others. After meeting the character's they will generally be longer. I also ask that you tell people about this story, and that you give me any advice/constructive criticism you have. This is the biggest project I've ever done, after all.)
p.s This story will be posted on fanfiction.net under the name greatgirl22302, and on quotev as Hitomi. These are other accounts of mine, and have not been stolen. Thanks for reading this far, and enjoy.

Part 1: One Evening.

You had beaten the game time and time again. But now, once again, you found yourself craving to play once more.

Fire Emblem Fates was permanently inserted into your 3DS, and at this point, you weren't entirely sure which copy you had bought to begin with. You'd acquired all three paths, and played through multiple times.

Tonight was no different. You were stuck at home, and it was storming like crazy outside. The lights flickered ominously, and you found yourself glad that the game that was calling your name would stay on if the power went out.

Despite this, you thought maybe it would be best to play while it was on the charger. If you were going to be playing in the dark, it had better be at full battery.

Unfortunately, clicking on the game caused a small box to pop up. Your eyes scanned over the words. The game needed to be updated.

The game had been out for some time, and you first thought an update a little strange...but that odd feeling gave way to excitement as you realized it probably meant new DLC had been released. You owned all of the DLC so far.

When the game finished updating and brought you through the familiar opening scene's, you tuned out, wondering if maybe you should open up an old file first to see the new DLC first hand.

This caused you to miss the slight change as the character's on the screen flew by. A figure in the background that looked an awful lot like you.

When the scene at last faded to Azura's familiar pendant, you clicked open the options and looked over two in particular.

You really wanted to see what that new DLC was like, and you had plenty of old files with access.

But you also wanted to start a new game, and would reach the DLC eventually.

Do you open an old file? part 2.

Start a new game? part 3.

So... are you going to continue this?  I hate seeing stories just drop off.
